They're here....

It happened a lot sooner than any of us were hoping for, but we knew it was coming. Two of the newly reintroduced wolves have made their way to our county. We did not see the wolves themselves, but we found their tracks. The sheer size of the track stills sends a shiver down my spine. I've been asked "How did that make you feel to find the tracks so close to home?" multiple times. There is a list of emotions that boil to the surface, with fear being at the top. Many people don't truly understand the nature of these animals, nor do they realize how different the CO landscape and population is since the last time wolves roamed the state. Colorado is now home to 5.812 MILLION people. We have people living in all areas of the state, hundreds of thousands of people visiting the state each year for recreational activities and agriculture bringing in $8.3 BILLION dollars of revenue.

We cannot change the fact that the wolves are here, but we can educate. That is just what I tried to do with my interview with Fox 31 Denver. I am so pleased that Fox was willing to reach out and tell the rancher's side of things. I, also don't think this will be the last time we will have a story about this topic.

Check out the story here.

I have a lot to share about this topic. What do you want to know?
